FEATURING (TO BE CONFIRMED)
MARK DEUTSCH - INVENTOR OF THE BAZANTAR, MASTER MUSICIAN
A professional musician since the age of twelve, Mark is a visionary artist with a background in nonlinear mathematics, sacred systems, and cosmology. As a classically trained bassist and sitar player, he gained extensive experience in orchestral and world music ensembles, jazz combos, and solo sitar performance. While studying North Indian classical music with the legendary sitar and surbahar master Ustad Imrat Khan (younger brother of Ustad Vilayat Khan), Mark began delving deeper into the universal fundamentals of music and its underlying frequency structures. This in turn led him to his quest to develop an instrument that could reproduce his findings. This work culminated in 1999 with Mark being awarded a US patent for his groundbreaking new instrument: Bazantar – a six-string acoustic bass fitted with an additional twenty-nine sympathetic strings and four drone strings. The result is a remarkable instrument that weaves a mesmerizing soundscape of resonance, and evokes all the power of Western classical music with the depth and nuance of Eastern traditions.

DAVID CALKINS - KING OF BOTS, FOUNDER OF ROBOGAMES
David Calkins is a widely respected robot builder and expert. He has taught robotics and computer engineering at San Francisco State University and various grade schools, is the president of the Robotics Society of America, Founder of the international RoboGames (world's largest robot competition), and has lots of other pedantic titles that no one really cares about.
He hosted the weekly TV show "Systm" for Revsion3, where he tought people to make highly useful things like flamethrowers, lightsabers and beer-delivery robots. He's been featured in TV specials on Discovery, History, TechTV, and many other networks, including building a robot which explored the dungeons and sewers of Alcatraz. His most vexing robot is Chapek, which makes cocktails and insults people (mostly him.) He plays with Legos a lot, proving his mother correct that he would not, in fact, ever grow up. He's built over 100 robots, most of which have since had parts cannibalized for some other project. Those 'bots are now plotting to cut off one of his arms to see how he likes it.
WESLEY MORGAN - SWAMP NOIR JAZZ
Swamp Noir singer, songwriter, and guitarist Wesley Morgan has released his first EP titled Backroom In Tulsa. Recorded and mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Primus, Bill Laswell), the four original songs on this EP provide a first glimpse at the singer's dark blend of broken down blues and junkyard americana, evoking comparisons to Tom Waits, Randy Newman, and Chris Isaak.
“Swamp Noir is ragged and raw, with melodies that drop off, bend, and crack,” says the singer. “It's about beautiful devils and angels with broken wings. It's the sound you hear rolling out of a Saturday night juke joint, but it's also the choir when you stumble drunk into Sunday morning redemption.”
